Based between York and Hull we are a small legal practice where a qualified solicitor has full responsibility for looking after your case, providing legal advice covering family law, separation and children disputes, wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, advice for older people. We also provide family mediation.
For initial advice or if you're not sure if you need to take any action, we offer a first interview of up to 30 minutes without charge.

If you have an oath or affirmation or statutory declaration to make, the standard fee is £11 each (from 22nd April 2014), plus £2 per exhibit (an exhibit is additional document referred to in the oath, affirmation or declaration).
If you need certified copy documents, the fee is £5 for up to 5 documents, £10 for up to 10 documents etc.
Please telephone to arrange an appointment for this service, and with your permission, we will arrange to donate these fees to the charity of the year chosen by our local law society, the Yorkshire Law Society.

In 2013/14 the charity was St Leonard’s Hospice
St Leonards Hospice, in York, cares for people with life-threatening illnesses - often, though not always, cancer. Their skilled and specially-trained staff offer in-patient palliative care, in a purpose-built unit with 20 beds and Day Care at the Hospice for people living in their own homes. They also run a Hospice @ Home service.
In 2014/15 the charity is Martin House Hospice
Martin House cares for children and young people with progressive life-limiting illnesses and provides support to their families. Based in the purpose built hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby Martin House cares for children and young people from throughout the Yorkshire region.
